Microsoft has reportedly signed an agreement to bring Grand Theft Auto VI to its Xbox Cloud Gaming service in November, according to Digital Trends and The Verge. Xbox Chief Executive Officer Asha Sharma told employees at an internal meeting that the company is preparing to offer something around the game that no other platform holder is doing, The Verge reported. TechPowerUp added that the deal makes Xbox Cloud Gaming the exclusive cloud service permitted to stream the title at launch. [1][2][3]

Grand Theft Auto VI has so far only been officially confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles, Digital Trends reported. Developer Rockstar Games has not confirmed when a native version of the game will land on PC. Digital Trends and IGN noted that the new streaming agreement will allow users to stream the title through Xbox Cloud Gaming, effectively making it playable on PC at launch. [1][4]

Xbox Cloud Gaming is a cloud streaming service operated by Microsoft that links user devices to remote servers in the cloud. The service originally entered beta testing in November 2019 before launching for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in September 2020 at no additional charge. [8]

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will be able to access the title via cloud streaming when Microsoft expands access to the service in November, according to Digital Trends and The Verge. [1][2]
