Early buyers of the newly released Apple iPhone Duo are reporting that their displays are cracking along the device hinge. Tom's Guide reported that initial adopters of the 2,000 dollar foldable phone began noticing the display failures this week following its launch. [1]

It remains unclear how widespread the hinge defect is or if more devices will suffer failures over time. Tom's Guide noted that some defective units are expected given the high volume of customers receiving their hardware this week. [1]

As FTMQ Tech reported earlier, the iPhone Duo is the first foldable device released by Apple. Software developers have recently published updates to support its dual screens, including retro computer emulators and remote control tools. [2]

Customers who experience display damage from normal use should receive coverage under the standard one-year warranty from Apple. Tom's Guide also reported that buyers have a 14-day window to return the device if necessary. [1]
