Google is developing a new fitness tracker called the Fitbit Edge, according to reports published on October 4, 2026. The Verge, 9to5Google, and Android Headlines reported that images and retail assets leaked by Android Headlines show the design and details of the upcoming device. The Verge and 9to5Google both noted that the tracker appears to be a successor to Fitbit's midrange Charge line. [1][2][3]
Images shared by Android Headlines show the Fitbit Edge in multiple angles and colors, according to The Verge. 9to5Google reported that the device features a bulbous screen that extends closer to the perimeter than previous Fitbit trackers. The screen displays a Pixel Watch style face modified for the tracker form factor, including the time, date, heart rate, and step count. [1][2][3]
The latest retail listings follow an accidental marketing leak in August and a Federal Communications Commission filing last month, according to 9to5Google. Google acquired the Fitbit brand in 2021 after it was originally established in 2007. [2][6]
