Apple released two new videos in its True Apple Watch Story series on October 27, 2026, according to MacRumors. The videos detail accounts from two individuals who credit the smartwatch with saving their lives through its built-in health tracking features. [1]

MacRumors reported that the first video features a woman named Morgan, who was awakened by high heart rate alerts from her device. She subsequently discovered she had a kidney infection and was going into septic shock. The second video features a man named Josh who used the smartwatch to assist with weight loss. [1]

The Apple Watch is a line of smartwatches developed by Apple that integrates fitness tracking, health capabilities, and wireless communication with watchOS. Apple released the first version in April 2015, and estimates indicated that more than 115 million people were using an Apple Watch by December 2022. [2]
