The Vivo X500E smartphone has cleared Bluetooth SIG certification ahead of its official release, according to GSM Arena, My Mobile India, and Naija Android Arena. GSM Arena reported on October 11, 2026, that the device appeared on the certification website under the model designation V2656. [1][2][3]

GSM Arena reported that the Bluetooth SIG database did not reveal detailed specifications for the smartphone. However, rumors cited by GSM Arena suggest that the Vivo X500E will feature a Dimensity 9500 system on a chip. [1]

The new smartphone is expected to serve as the successor to the Vivo X300 E, which was unveiled in July, GSM Arena reported. The X500E is expected to launch within the next few months. [1]

Bluetooth technology was first released in July 1999 with version 1.0. The standard has evolved to include low-energy variants designed to conserve power in mobile and battery-operated devices. [4]
