Apple is limiting customers in the United States to purchasing a maximum of two iPhone Duo devices, according to MacRumors. The restriction applies to orders placed on the official Apple website and through the Apple Store app. The system displays a notice instructing shoppers to adjust their total quantity before checking out. The purchase cap follows severe supply constraints after pre-orders opened on October 16. As FTMQ Tech reported earlier, heavy demand caused shipping estimates for the foldable phone to quickly slide into 2027. Reporting from 9to5Mac also noted that delivery dates slipped within a minute of pre-orders going live, leaving some early buyers with shipping estimates into January. [5][10]

Before the official release of the device on October 23, details regarding hardware specifications have emerged. Mashable and Digital Trends both report that an official European Union energy label published by Apple lists the total battery capacity of the iPhone Duo at 4,883 milliamp-hours. Digital Trends added that the paperwork confirms the foldable phone relies solely on eSIM technology and has no physical SIM tray. [2][4]

The battery capacity aligns with earlier leak reports that described a dual-cell setup inside the chassis, according to Mashable. Mashable reported that the device utilizes two separate cells measuring 2,962 milliamp-hours and 1,921 milliamp-hours. Digital Trends reported that the total capacity figure slightly exceeds the battery size of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. [2][4]
