Motorola Edge 70 Pro receives Android 17 update in Europe

Motorola has begun rolling out the Android 17 update for the Edge 70 Pro smartphone. GSM Arena and YTECHB both reported on October 28, 2026, that the software upgrade is rolling out to the device. GSM Arena reported that a Reddit post confirmed the release is currently arriving for European models. [1][5]

The update requires a download size of 3.42GB, GSM Arena reported. Once users complete the installation process, the device operates on software version A171WMH.44-25. The official changelog indicates that the software brings a fresh, expressive design to the device. [1]

The Motorola Edge line is a family of smartphones produced by Motorola Mobility since 2020. The lineup replaced the Moto X as the brand's mid-range and high-end device family. Major Android releases are developed by Google on a regular schedule, with stable software versions usually made available to the public. [8][9]

European owners of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro can check their system settings to download the new build over a fast network connection. Motorola has not yet announced specific timing for rollouts in other global regions. [1]
