A leaker known as Cyberleek has threatened to release a full build of Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its scheduled November 19 launch, according to Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp. TechPowerUp reported that a post on the leaker's website claims the build includes the full story mode through to the end credits. PC Gamer Hardware and TweakTown both report that the group is demanding a public apology from publisher Take-Two Interactive and a release of physical discs. [1][2][3][7]

Tom's Hardware, Seeking Alpha, and The News International report that the threat is also tied to a cryptocurrency scheme. The leaker demands that an associated memecoin reach a market value of 30 million dollars before the release, which Tom's Hardware describes as an attempt to artificially inflate the cryptocurrency's price. TradingView reported that the Solana-based token experienced a price increase following the ultimatum. [1][6][8][9]

Polygon.com reported that the leaker also posted a nude video of Lucia, one of the main characters, as part of the ongoing threats against Take-Two. Grand Theft Auto 6 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Games and set in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida. The story follows the criminal duo of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. [5][10]

Separately, Engadget reported that supply issues may prevent consumers from obtaining hardware needed to play the game. Citing a report by German gaming outlet Playfront, Engadget stated that Sony has informed distribution partners that supply constraints for the PlayStation 5 Pro console will likely continue until at least 2027.
